At Essence of the Moment we know that hiring a wedding photographer can be a daunting process.

Yes, Essence of the Moment is covered by extensive insurance for both public liability and professional negligence.
Jed has a Masters degree in the Photographic Image from the University of Durham, as well as several professional photographic qualifications.
He has over a decade of experience as a professional photographer. He has extensive experience as photojournalist, and has been published in the UK national press as well as internationally.
He has also been involved with photographic writing and reviews for various websites, and regularly gives photographic talks both in the UK and in his native Singapore.
Essence of the Moment uses modern, professional digital camera equipment. This includes several cameras and many lenses, not just to cover every situation but also to serve as a backup in the event of equipment failure.
Digital equipment has long since superceded the quality of film overall, and allows more convenient presentation on modern display devices such as computer monitors, digital LCD picture frames and television screens.
It also gives the flexibility to present images in full colour, black and white or additional effects such as sepia toning.
All prints provided by Essence of the Moment are traditional chemical prints through a colour managed workflow, with most of our album range also based on traditional printing. The other albums use modern offset printing technology.
Every wedding is different, and many factors play a part in determining the final number of photos. These can include weather conditions, the venue, whether photography is permitted during the ceremony, and the amount of time dedicated to photography.
We strive to photograph each special moment as it happens, rather than work towards a specific quota.
Having said that, as an approximate guide we would expect to capture somewhere in the region of 1000 images from a full day of photography, and the couple can expect to receive about 300 - 400 individually edited images.
